If you want your food fast but you’re not in the mood for fast food, then come on into Woodies Café on the Santa Cruz Wharf. We’re the very first restaurant you’ll come to as you walk the wharf so you can stop by and get yourself some fuel for the rest of the walk. Its Blue Hawaiian Theme and surf/classic car décor is bright and inviting, but it’s the food that will knock your socks off (if you’re actually wearing socks and not flip flops).
Successful Santa Cruz restauranter, Mark Gilbert, created Woodies with families in mind. That’s why you get high quality food at affordable prices but also fast and friendly counter service. Mark has been part of the Santa Cruz restaurant scene since 1980. When he bought Firefish Grill from his dad, he turned part of the restaurant into what you see today–the café and adjoining gift shop. The café is open Monday through Thursday from 11am – 7pm and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11am – 9pm. Mark also owns the Dolphin Restaurant at the end of the wharf.
Our Menu
The family-friendly menu includes all your favorites from Killer Burgers to Screamin’ Starters like garlic fries, fish tacos to fish and chips, clam chowder in a bread bowl to a Shrimp Louie. The kids menu serves up all their faves like corn dogs, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese sandwiches, and hot dogs. All served up with tasty fries.
What We Offer
In addition to all the choices that you, your family, or your date might want, can also enjoy a wide selection of drinks and the 21 and over crowd specialty cocktails from the Firefish Grill’s full bar. And the ice cream shakes are simply amazing.
Step outside Woodies Café and you’ll be at the front door to our gift shop. The selection of Santa Cruz gear here is really amazing from beach wear to hoodies and tees, from cool shades to other trinkets. There’s even a section to kids including the cutest onesies around.
